This project aimed to design a modern, conversion-driven e-commerce interface that balances aesthetics with functionality.
The goal was to create a user-friendly shopping experience with clear product visibility, intuitive navigation, and a smooth checkout process — optimized for both desktop and mobile users.
1. Research & Planning
Conducted research on top e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and Amazon to identify layout trends, UI patterns, and buying behaviors.
Defined design goals: easy product discovery, minimal distraction, and strong brand trust through visual consistency.
2. UX Wireframing
Created user flow maps for homepage, product listing, product detail, and checkout pages.
Focused on reducing click steps and ensuring a seamless transition from product discovery to purchase.
3. Visual Design & UI System
Designed high-fidelity mockups in Figma using a neutral palette of white, charcoal, and accent orange to highlight CTAs and promotional sections.
Emphasized product photography, minimalistic grids, and card-based layouts for an elegant retail feel.
4. Typography & Iconography
Used Poppins and Lato for a clean, approachable tone.
Integrated custom icons for shopping cart, wishlist, and product filters to maintain visual harmony.
5. Interaction & Micro-Animations
Planned hover effects for “Add to Cart” buttons, smooth image transitions, and animated banners for deals and seasonal sales to enhance engagement.
6. Usability Feedback & Refinement
Tested prototype with users for navigation clarity and visual flow. Adjusted button spacing, color contrast, and product image scaling based on feedback.
